September Class Updates

By September 2, 2021No Comments

Bonjour everybody!

With a new month upon us (I knowww right?!) I wanted to do a quick round up of all the class news for September. Not only do we have some more premiere classes, we also have a couple of new concepts that are SO so fun! Now I can’t list every class we’re having, click here for that, but wanted to point out some of the new experiences we have to offer. Let’s get to it!

One of our first new classes was actually a previous class, redesigned and broken up into 2 parts. Sauces 1 and Sauces 2 are new this month and feature so many of the essential sauces used for French cooking.
In Sauces 1 we make:

  • Bechamel
  • Hollandaise
  • Mornay Mac ‘n’ Cheese
  • Veloute
  • Eggs Benedict
  • Poached Chicken

We continue the trend in Sauces 2 and make several classic sauces and accompaniments to go along with your creations:

  • Espagnole
  • French Tomato Sauce
  • Sauce Andalouse
  • Mayonnaise
  • Cajun Roumelade
  • Pasta Puttanesca
  • Pork Tenderloin

There’s still a few spots left for Sauces 1 the morning of September 16th and a handful of spots for Sauces 2 the evening of September 17th. Definitely don’t want to miss out on adding this to your repertoire of skills.

With September of course, so begins the fall season. What better way to prepare for those overcast days than with a class tailored to Autumn?
Our Fall Side Dishes classes on the 21st have a few openings left but are going quick. We whip up some crazy good sides like:

  • Pan Fried Okra
  • Crispy Brussel Sprouts with Bacon
  • Cauliflower Mac ‘n’ Cheese
  • Corn Pudding (yummo!)
  • Sweet Potato Casserole

Plus several other dishes with some fall veggies that’ll keep you nice and warm this fall. This class won’t be showing up again until November 3rd so better snag those last few spots. You can click here to book, but better be fast with it!

Next up we have our new Interactive Dinner on Saturday the 18th. Having had a couple of larger events now, I can’t wait for another one of these! There’s no cooking involved (that’s what Chef Janon and Blandine are for!), but plenty of fun to be had. You get to sip wine and dine on 5 courses, getting to try their creations over the span of 3 hours. While there are plenty of spots available for now, I don’t see that being the case for long. There’s not many places you can get a custom 5 course dinner for this rate. Plus, you get the added benefit of hanging out with your TFK family!

Last but definitely not least is Chef Janon’s Bring the Heat class on September 14th. We’ve had it only once before and it was a hit. Now, being a Texan boy at heart, I looove my spicy foods so I’m definitely looking forward to this experience! These dishes are sure to satisfy that person in the house that just craves spicy food. We make:

  • Firecracker Chicken Lettuce Cups
  • Quick Kimchi
  • Bison Chili
  • Cajun Crawfish Boil

Along with several other great sauces and spice blends to accompany, the menu is rounded out nicely with some heat. If those few dishes get your tastebuds tingling like mine, you’ll want to hop on booking them quick. This is another one of those classes that doesn’t come around too often and this is actually the last running for the whole year!
Check availability here.

So what are you most excited for? The new classes or the excuse to finally start wearing cozy clothes again? Let us know in the comments what you’re signing up for and what you’d like to see in future offerings. Hope to see you all soon!

Au revoir for now folks.
