Have you heard about my Call for Community Action?
Let’s show some appreciation for the small businesses that support our community!
Today’s category of local small businesses is local markets,
especially women-owned businesses!
Up North, you will find Taste of Life, a family-owned market offering selected groceries, home-cooked dinners, including a wide variety of delicious gluten-free items.
I met Donna, an amazing lady with a huge heart, when I moved to the US in 2008. At one point, I was even making crêpes at her retail store!
I have been referring clients to her for 10 years now, as she has the most delicious frozen fruits that are perfect for my Jam class.
When you walk in, you truly feel that you are welcome, like you are already a part of their family.
Definitely give her store a try!
On the South end, I’d like to give a big shoutout to Bread & Butter Market, owned by Aubrey & Stacy.
These ladies opened during Covid – not an easy thing to do – yet, they remain a vital part of the downtown community!
They’ve even helped a few of our new guests find out about us because of their cute and convenient market!
Many of our clients are happy to find our delicious selection there without having to drive North. Plus, they even have a few exclusive TFK products that you can only find at their location!
The best part is, they support many other local small businesses (like us!), and when a store supports local that much…..there’s only one thing to do…..show them some love and support in return! Go check it out!
