Have you heard about my Call for Community Action?
Let’s help support the small businesses that support our community!
This is the last installment of the Call for Community Action.
Today’s final category is Local Artists.

Who makes you feel inspired?

You know how we chat in our cooking classes, right? Well, so many connections happen during our classes!
I met the two incredible artists I will feature today in our cooking classes.

Dave (daveandsonya.com) is an amazing photographer and a great person. He’s been photographing our food for a while now. During Covid, his work helped so much, because when our doors were closed, people could only make decisions based on the photos on our website.

I remember one photo shoot, for our Shopping Bags. I had no clue how to feature them, but he took Pearline (our model) outside and got some great action shots. That was a WOW moment for me!

That’s how impressive Dave is! Check out his work and give him a try.

Lauren at Transient Art also gives me these WOW moments.

All the artwork you see in our Café – the murals, logos, merchandiser caps, window decals – that’s all Lauren!

When I work on a project with Lauren, we talk about it, then she comes back with something even better than I expected! She has an incredible gift that Colorado Springs should know about. Oh, and she’s also part of our team as our current Shopper!
