Bonjour from Mallorca!
Yesterday, we did quite an epic ride with 9 passes. Challenge of the day was to get 1500m of elevation and we got 1873m (6146ft). But the amazing part of that tough ride was the non-stop beauty. So for those visiting by car, make sure to take that not-as-touristy route that will just make you want to stop every 5 minutes to take a photo!
Start in Esporles towards Andratx via Galilea. Push towards Sant Elm as you will be able to dine at an incredible spot with gourmet dishes: Es Moli. It’s located outside of the crowds where you can enjoy the shade of a gorgeous rubber tree and relax peacefully. Then drive towards Estellencs, back to Esporeles. You will pass along the entire route super cute villages and will be able to have gorgeous views of the cliffs.
Today’s challenge was to get 100km so we went south of the island to avoid too much elevation. We passed more cute villages and we got our mileage but we’ve enjoyed the North of the island much more for the landscape.
Food is still very much enjoyable everywhere, at very affordable prices. Last day tomorrow with market photos!
