Bonjour from Mallorca!
For our last day, we picked Soller as a starting point so we could enjoy the market.
It’s crazy the difference between the past week and this week on the whole island. Shops have started to open, villages do not seem like ghost towns and trees are blooming, making our visit even more enjoyable.
I have not seen though a market like I have enjoyed in France, where I want to take photos everywhere because the stalls are so pretty.
For our last bike route, we wanted to finish with Coll de Soller, a 5.1km climb at 5.2% preceded by a 5km straight uphill road! You have the option by car to take a tunnel (no interest) or the pass (much prettier), to get to Soller. I’d recommend the pass if you have time, as you’ll be able to enjoy the many small fun switchbacks.
The route from Soller to Valldemossa was gorgeous, passing Deia, a cute village built on the hills like many, and following the sea. Valdemossa is also very enjoyable but we got a first glimpse at what summer would look like with already a bunch of tourists.
This is it for Mallorca! I hope you enjoyed the visit, especially for those who told me they’re heading that way this year. I’ll see you soon in Colorado Springs!
