Bonjour Colorado Springs from Quebec!
How about breakfast at a boulangerie on your bike route, lunch at a market, mostly made of French cheeses, and dinner at a sugar shack? The New Grand Market brought me back to France, especially when I found my favorite cheese: Reblochon, that is banned in the USA. Made my day! They offer a large selection of regional products in a cute indoor space. Don’t miss this place that is outside of the Old Quebec.
We also got some exercise going down 478 stairs (not 487 as advertised… Emie checked) and got soaked (for fun!) at the Montmorency Falls and enjoyed the Fall colors.
Orleans Island was next for us and as we toured the island, we definitely enjoyed (and got samples) Cideries, Apple Orchards, Wineries, Cheese places, Berry farms, Pumpkin Patches and beautiful views of the river, ski resorts, and gorgeous trees.
How to finish a day in Canada? At a sugar shack, especially when you’ve never seen maple syrup production.
We got our steps! We got our food specialties! We got memories!
